Gain deep insights into your customers
Advantage Media’s Shopper Marketing DMP enables both retail and CPG brand marketers to get deep insights into their customers—such as what other retailers they visit and how frequently they are viewing their website versus going into stores. The data collected in the DMP can then be used for targeting, insights and optimization.
WHAT IS A DATA MANAGEMENT PLATFORM?
A data management platform (DMP) is a unified and centralized technology platform used for collecting, organizing, and activating large sets of data from disparate sources.
HOW DOES A DMP COLLECT DATA?
Through the use of a DMP, data can be collected from various
sources including media properties (display, search, social, video), digital properties (websites, microsites, landing pages), and online data (CRM, POS etc). Collection rules will vary based on the source. Media and owned digital properties need to be tagged with a DMP pixel, while online data needs to be onboarded manually.
WHY IS A DMP IMPORTANT TO MY BUSINESS?
A DMP will help you tie your customer, campaign and site level data together into one, centralized location, allowing you to use it to help optimize future media buys and creative. It’s all about better understanding your customer and reaching them at the right place, in the right moment with a message that resonates with them.
CAN WE HAVE A SHOPPER VS. BRAND DMP?
Yes, accounts can be broken out between shopper and brand, to ensure that the data is collected, organized and activated on separately.
WHAT DOES ADVANTAGE MEDIA DO TO ENSURE PRIVACY COMPLIANCE?
What is Personally Identifiable Information?
Personally Identifiable Information (PII) includes name, address, phone number, email address, purchase history, or any other data used to identify, contact or precisely locate a person.
Does Advantage Media Store PII in the DMP and Use it for Targeting or Insight?
No, we never ingest or store any PII in our DMP. All PII data is stripped and converted to hashed data prior to being pushed to the DMP.
How is PII Stripped and Converted into Hashed Data (Randomly Generated ID Number)?
The data is pushed to a clearing house, who changes the PII data to hashed info (randomly generated number). The hashed data is then turned into cookies and unique ID’s.
How is Our Data Separated from Other Client’s Data within the DMP?
Before onboarding any of your data, a separate account is created specifically for your data to be stored, organized and activated on. Access to your data is limited within our organization to the select few individuals that work directly on your account.
